FOCUS — Send one brief that every supplier can quote against. Updated 22 October 2026 The best comparison starts before a price arrives. A fixture request should identify the same quantities, configuration and responsibilities for all suppliers. Mark unknown information explicitly so it becomes an assumption to resolve rather than a silent difference between offers. DECISIONS Site and operation Measured plan, receiving route, merchandise mix, staff positions and play requirements. Use a dated plan revision and flag dimensions that still need checking. Fixture schedule Item numbers, quantities, configuration and material or finish references. Separate optional fittings from required base functions. Commercial scope Design, samples, inspection, packing, shipment and on-site work. State inclusions and exclusions instead of assuming a complete-service price. REVIEW SEQUENCE 1. Assign every fixture on the plan an item number and use the same number in the quotation. 2. Attach representative card holders and packaged-product dimensions, with photographs where useful. 3. Ask the supplier to state assumptions, sample charges, timing dependencies and the delivery basis for the actual project. 4. Compare the revised total only after aligning quantities and scope. A low cabinet-only price is not a complete project budget.
