FOCUS — Specify the selling orientation before counting booster-box facings. Updated 22 October 2026 A booster box can occupy different space when closed, open for pack sales or displayed with a header. A width-only calculation can therefore overstate capacity. The first decision is what the customer buys and who removes it from the shelf. DECISIONS Closed boxes sold whole Measure the closed outer packaging and the price-label position. A replenishment row can use a different depth from the visible display. Open boxes selling individual packs Measure with the display lid raised and the front pack removed. Check header clearance, remaining-pack stability and staff reach. Launch feature or endcap Choose a limited hero assortment and define the restocking route. Avoid treating the feature fixture as the entire reserve stockroom. REVIEW SEQUENCE 1. Put one real box in the intended orientation and photograph its front, side and raised lid beside a ruler. 2. Measure clear width, clear depth and usable vertical opening after allowing for labels and fittings. 3. Use the same assortment in each supplier comparison. A nominally wider fixture may have thicker uprights or less usable depth. 4. Record the last box in the row: whether it can be removed, replaced and repriced without disturbing the display.
